This doesn’t really change anything, does it? They just renamed the function and gave it a new icon.
Now what I’d really like to see is separate places to display liked comments and posts. I haven’t really starred posts after they removed the side bar displaying them separately. Hadn’t even thought about sharing them to my blog.

Ugh I avoided the first round of this nonsense, but not this time. I guess the feature is out of whatever beta testing Kinja does (I thought they just pushed code changes at 5 on Friday and took a long weekend ) and out to the masses.

There doesn’t seem to be a change in function at the moment , but it’s giving me pause. Hovering my cursor over the icon reveals a tooltip that says “save this article for later”. I’m really hesitant to click it now, because I’m not sure if Kinja’s about to introduce a new feature . I don’t want to log in a week/ month/whatever from now and see some kind of prompt showing a backlog all of the articles I supposedly wanted to put off for later.
I wish they would officially announce all Kinja changes, so we would know if this is a bug, or if it’s intentional. But since they’re not, I’m going to send them an e-mail assuming that it’s a bug. And I hope I’m not the only one doing this. Maybe if enough of us pester them with questions like this, they’ll bring back Kinja Product’s round up news letters to prevent confusion .
